We are all 'bunged up with biscuits.' That's a new British saying I learned this week. Yep. Snotty, sore throats, and pretty much on the more miserable end of the spectrum. So while we sat inside working through the tissue box, Jack and I cracked out the playdough and took some of our friends on a trip to the pumpkin patch.
Cookie Monster and Tuck the turtle totally rocked out on the 'tractor ride' that Jack took them on through the little orange pumpkins on our kitchen table. So we invited a few more friends to come along.
While Daisy snoozed her way through her morning nap, this kept Jack and thoroughly entertained, both the making and playing part. That's one thing I love about this 3-years-old age. Imaginary play is always lingering somewhere nearby in a totally creative unexpected way.
And if you happened to notice in that pic, we're in a little bit of an overhaul on the look of our kitchen table nook. I picked up those crafty storage items a few weeks ago at Ikea. There's a lot more to come on this little corner of our house. Let's just say that we have some reupholstery and painting plans in the mix. But back to the pumpkin patch. I just loved doing this with my boy. Here's a pic he snapped of me.
He took the 'train' on a few rounds of the pumpkin patch before we exhausted ourselves for the morning.
Then Daisy woke up and gave some tlc to her babies. One isn't enough for her. She insists on always holding both of them simultaneously.
And that's how we spent our Saturday morning, bunged up like biscuits.
